John McCain’s trip to the Middle East and now Europe highlights something very poignant about Republicans versus Democrats. While John McCain is going around the World making himself look presidential by speaking with foreign leaders and strengthening his foreign policy credentials what are the Democrats doing?
The Democrats are fighting.
This is nothing new for a party which only can use the word “change” to sum up their policies which would amount to government takeovers of private industry. While the Democrats fight, John McCain wins. I almost want to sit Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton down and tell them what they are doing is hurting their own chances in November, but where would the fun be in that?
John McCain’s poll numbers continue to go up and with Obama getting into the thick of things over race you know the Democrats are in for a dousy. With Obama every single day having to answer a question about race, more and more white voters are having enough of it. In all honestly, white voters don’t want to have to deal with being accused of racism and with Obama calling his grandmother a “typical white person” today it just keeps the race divide alive and well.
So as it was true in 1968 and 1980 with the Democrats there is no easy way of doing things and that’s just fine by me. The Democrats fight, America wins.
