Young Democrats In Their Own Words (See Video)

The leadership of the Young Democrats at the University of Washington are no doubt your typical student Democrats; young, energetic, ambitious and insurmountably stupid. And now we have proof!

Apparently on a road trip, the video features Young Democrat President Max Wagner and ASUW Student Senator Alex Lark performing in conjuction with other student leaders their version of Americans who believe in God, are concerned about terrorism, and seek the spread of democracy. You and I know these people as "normal Americans". But as you can see in their video, they view Americans a little bit differently. One might even say bitter.

In its press release, MoveRed.org said it best.
In an attempt to disparage Republicans, the video in question has revealed a very unsettling trend of willingness to say or do anything to belittle those of a different political view. Young Democrats have recently criticized UW College Republican plans to hold an illegal immigration awareness event on campus as being racist and hateful, but have apparently offered this criticism with the utmost hypocrisy.
Back in my College Republican days, one of our favorite mottos was "There is nothing more intolerant than a tolerant liberal." I really wish we would have had this video at the time. Also noted by movered.org, is that these student liberals not only video taped their lunacy, but then proudly posted it online for us to find. Why, its as if they see nothing wrong with disparaging Americans who hold more traditional and rural beliefs than they do. In politics, boys and girls, we call this mindset "elitism".

In any case, I think perhaps the UW Young Democrats owe us normal folks an apology for such blatant hypocrisy and intolerance. I have a feeling, though, that we will instead be getting some nuanced explanation about why they are right and we are wrong. Ya know, kind of like an elitist would do.
