Obama Suddenly "Outraged" At Rev. Wright's Rhetoric

I was going to title this entry "Wadda Dumbass" but thought better of it.

Weeks (and weeks and weeks) after the story broke, and with barely time for a breath since saying he could no more seperate himself from Rev. Wright then he could from the entire black community, Senator Obama has decided he is outraged (OUTRAGED!) by Rev. Wright's most recent comments to the National Press Club and is sekeing to seperate himself form Rev. Wright. But the problem is that Wright's comments were the same thing we had heard from his sermons, which Barack was not so upset about before today.

The only difference today was that Rev. Wright insulted Barack Obama personally, calling him a politician saying anything to get elected, which is demonstrably true. Wright used as proof Obama's denial of ever hearing the sermons we've all heard by now, despite his 20 years of church membership. Obama is being exposed as the filandering politician that he is, not the agent of change and genuine hope that he has worked so hard to present to the American people.

This is not as easy as saying that Wright does not speak for Obama. According to video from several sermons and the National Press Club, black people love listening to Wright. We know this because they can hardly stay seated or quiet while he damns America and blames the government for every perceived ill in any minority community. Wright obviously speaks for all of these cheering, screaming and clapping churchgoers. Is it so outlandish to believe that someone like Barack Obama, a 20 year member, would also harbor some of these same beliefs? Of course, not. But what is outlandish is the notion that Obama wouldn't modify some of those beliefs while in public so as to make his political aspirations more attainable.

When will Barack Obama's supporters admit they made an incorrect judgement when they decided to support Obama? Today's lesson: Pride cometh before the fall.
