We Are Missing The Point On Ayers

There has been a lot of coverage recently given to the relationship between likely Democrat nominee Barack Obama and the bonafide terrorist William Ayers. And despite the coverage, I think even those of us on the conservative front are missing a huge point. Our very good friend, Justin Higgins at Right On The Right, recently wrote about Barack Obama's "shady associations" and his pleasure that our nominee was finally calling him on it.

But this is about more than "shady associations". Honestly, are any of us surprised that the Democrats' leading man is friends with a terrorist? I'm not. Can you say "Jimmy Carter"? Higgins hits the nail on the head in his closing:
Ayers was part of a terrorist group and on September 11th, 2001 of all days, an article was released where he said he wished he committed more terrorist attacks. His background is one of a domestic tyrant, that should be in jail, but instead he's brown-nosing with one of our Presidential nominees. Does that say something about Barack? Absolutely.
More importantly, Justin, what does it say about America that a true traitor to our country who bombed government buildings and declared a "revolution" against American "injustice" is now teaching at an American university? Here's a video reminding us of Ayers's atrocities and his connection to Obama.

Treason. Do we ever plan on using that anymore? Or is it something we're not supposed to say for fear of being accused of questioning someone's pariotism. From all of the tiptoeing and pussyfooting around we do with the issue of liberal patriotism, I must respectfully remove myself and again pose the question What Patriotism?

These people do not love America. They love an America that does not exist, never has existed, and never will exist. They love an America where God is replaced with the State and in which all natural human aspirations are squandered for an illusive "collective good".

Traitor. That word use to mean something in this country. Now, it's a punchline.
