Irony?

I don't want to make light of a horse's death or anything, but I'm wondering if this analogy for Clinton is a little too perfect: http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/05/hillarys-horse.html.

The horse that Hillary had compared herself to finished second place, but had to be put down on the track after breaking it's front two legs after running so hard. The only difference between this and the Democratic nomination is that Big Brown will not be hurt in the Preakness or the Belmont by this action.
