Mass. Democrat To Child Rape Victims: "I will destroy you!"

I'm thinking of a word. Ah, yes. Asshole. That's the one.

Massachussetts (go figure) State Representative James Fagan took to the floor of the state house to oppose Jessica's Law, a bill sweeping through state legislatures across the nation that creates mandatory sentences for criminals who rape a child. Mr. Fagan, a defense attorney and hardcore liberal, opposes the bill on the grounds that...well, I guess he just hates children and loves child rapists, I dunno. It defies good sense, logic and simple moral decency. In the video below, Fagan explains what he would do to a child rape victim on the stand to protect his poor, poor client's "liberties".

Rumors of Fagan's mental retardation are still unconfirmed. Oddly enough, Mr. Fagan was also confronted by an O'Reilly Factor producer months ago for his opposition to the bill, in which he scolded the poor producer guy saying his heart weeps for the victims, or some bullshit like that. It took me a while to realize from where I recognized the bastard. I searched in vain for video of the Factor confrontation. Oh well. With any luck Bill will track him down again, and this time nail his balls to the wall with this video.

Truly a grade A dickhead.

I know the Supreme Court just ruled in a 5-4 decision that it would be unconstitutional to sentence rapists to the death penalty.

As of now the only offences we have that do not involve murder that qualify for the death penalty are treason and espionage...the arguement was made that this would only encourage rapists to kill the children as they are often the only witnesses...which would then qualify them for the death penalty again...right?

I'm on the fence about this, it may be my prospective Law Studentness that's kicking in...don't get me wrong I love babies...hate rapists...evidently the "facts" that go along with the 5 states that allow for serial children rapists to get lethal injection have not yet sentenced anyone to death..one of those states is Texas and lets face it...we send are the Capital Punishment Capitol.

We shall see...I did enjoy reading Justice Alito's dissenting opinion though...
