All Tied Up

It looks like the presidential election that Democrats were supposed to have all wrapped up is not quite a done deal after all. Barack Obama's "bump" (if it can be called that) since clinching the Democrat nomination seems to have wained, and he is now all tied up with John McCain.

According to the latest Rasmussen Reports presidential tracking poll Barack Obama leads by an insignificant 47% to 46%. Perhaps all of the double speak is finally getting through to voters who are finally realizing Barry's "new" politics looks an awful lot like the "old", and that bipartisan compromise and genuine integrity is what John McCain has built a career out of.

McCain, who hasn't led in a single poll since May, is now tasked with showing voters who he really is. How does it do this? Well, rather than "reintroduce" him, his campaign needs to simply let McCain be himself. Rather we like it or not, the John McCain that consistently thumbs his nose at his own party and that makes some conservatives flinch is precisely what American voters are looking for today. In short, he is the change they've been looking for.
